40 Years of Contact for Christ

40 Years of Contact for ChristIn September 1976 Billy Graham was coming to London and this initiated the setting up of Contact for Christ (a ministry of The Deo-Gloria Trust) "to help people to learn about Christ and the Christian life from an authorised person in their own locality" and we continue to do this work today. Throughout the years thousands of letters, postcards, telephone calls, emails and web-forms have been received by the Contact for Christ office. Today the enquirers are put in touch with one of over 700 local contacts who will meet and chat with them and introduce them to Christ.

This anniversary provides us with an opportunity to thank those thousands of local volunteers who have selflessly worked with Contact for Christ – and those who continue to do so today. It continues to be used by a number of ministries to co-ordinate follow-up of enquirers. The means by which responses are made may have changed, but the need for a reliable link between enquirers and churches remains as great as ever.
